Allied Organizations
The OEA works closely with affiliated and allied groups that include the OEA-Retired and the OEA Foundation, Inc.
The Bylaws of the OEA recognizes the OEA-Retired organization as an affiliated caucus of the OEA. OEA-Retired is dedicated to the promotion of retirement with dignity, happiness, and adequate income through promotion of social, professional, and economic status and the general welfare of retired school employees and by furnishing a practical basis for united action with others who are devoted to the cause of education, and by promoting voluntary participation by its members in civic and educational affairs.
The OEA Foundation, Inc. supplements the programs of the OEA by carrying out the charitable or educational activities of the teaching profession in Omaha. The OEA Foundation awards over $300,000 in scholarships annually.
